Chris Barrett
Director and Senior Physiotherapist
Chris qualified in 2001 and has worked in private practice since 2007. After working in the NHS supporting inpatients and outpatients, he also worked throughout various private hospitals. Over the years he has worked in elite sport along with all aspects of private musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Chris is a former GB white-water canoeist and may still be seen down at the river coaching younger athletes. Chris loves to help patients achieve their personnel goals, this regardless of age, ability, and previous injuries. Chris offers Occupational Health physiotherapy, clinic-based physiotherapy and home visits throughout the North East.
DEBORAH BARRETT
DIRECTOR AND SENIOR MUSCULOSKELETAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Deborah qualified in 2003 at Sheffield Hallam University, following qualification she worked within the NHS as a senior Physiotherapist within secondary care. In 2007 Deborah specialised in MSK Physiotherapy and delivered Physiotherapy services within the NHS primary care settings throughout North and South of Tyne. She utilises evidence based practice combining education, exercises and manual techniques to assist patients of all ages.
She has 14 years experience in Occupational health Physiotherapy, delivering both proactive and reactive services. This includes Work Place assessments, DSE assessments, task analysis, Manual Handling training along with injury prevention, treatment and education. She has delivered these services in a number of industries including, Chemical, Food distribution and Financial.
Mike Czernkovich
Senior Physiotherapist
After qualifying from the University of Brunel in 2016, Mike has developed his skills as an AdvancedPractitioner in Physiotherapy. His initial interest into Physiotherapy stemmed from his personnel achievements representing Canada in Gymnastics and Karate. Mike is a strong advocate of evidence-based practice which he applies to the management of his patients using a combination of hands-on manual therapy, education, and exercise to help support patients. Whether you’re an elite athlete in any sport, keen club runner or and weekend warrior, Mike will support you to achieve your goals.
Jennifer Valdez
Senior Physiotherapist
Jennifer graduated with a BSc in Physical Therapy at Mariano Marcos State University, Philippines in 1998 and has been a licensed Physiotherapist since 1999. She worked with a huge range of conditions including Neurological, Paediatrics, MSK, Orthopaedics, Respiratory and Cardiology covering inpatients, outpatients and in the community for more than 5 years.
Since moving to UK in 2006, she has worked in both private companies and the NHS specializing in MSK Physiotherapy. Jennifer has advanced her skills and recently achieved MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology at Northumbria University. She enjoys motivating patients to achieve their goals, influencing others to harness their full potential.
Grace Whittle
Senior Physiotherapist
Grace works at both our Prudhoe and Blaydon clinics with experience in football and boxing. In addition to her manual therapy and hands-on skills, she also loves working with patients looking after their pre- and post-op rehabilitation. In addition to her work in clinics, Grace also is an important part of our home visit team assisting patients in their own home.
Katie Priestley
Senior Physiotherapist
Katie qualified from Northumbria University in 2016. She has worked within the NHS for the past 10 years gaining experience in Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Outpatients helping people return back to the activities they love to do. Outside of the NHS she has worked within Football and Rugby, following her passion for sports. She has completed a further Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy and has a previous Sports Science Degree .
